The Australian Democrats Chase For Members Day 99

Well we are now down to only 99 days till the Australian Democrats hopefully are able to get their 1000 members and stave off there sitting parliamentarian David Winterlich leaving the party that put him there.

According to an email that was sent to me they are meeting their targets and by today they had to recruit another 25 , so well done on meeting the targets and hopefully you signed up your 25th by today.

Being that it is 99 , don't forget the old song " 99 bottles of beer on the wall "

The Australian Democrats Chase for Members Day 105

105 days to go and you should all know the story so far.

Upon checking the news sites and David's site it has been a pretty quiet few days for the Democrats.

That will certainly get the membership ticking over.

By the way 105 is also the police emergency number in Peru.

The Australian Democrats Chase For Members - Day 106

Well as you would be aware we have lost a few days , so there are now 106 days to go.

The target 1000 members or David Winterlich picks up his "bat and ball" and runs as an independent.

As it is Monday , we should be reminded that there are only 15 Mondays to go.

Speaking of 106 the 106th Kentucky Derby was won by Genuine Risk on May 3rd 1980.

The Democrats Chase Day 113 or 107

Well it's another Sunday and there are 113 days to go.

Max Baumann the State President for the Democrats commented on my previous post ( and you should read it ) that they have satisfied 3 weekly targets in a row without a major push.

Good for you for standing up Max.

But according to the comment the 23rd Nov appears to be d day which means that there will only be 107 days left.

Max sent me an e mail to confirm the date so tomorrow will be 106 days to go.

Laugh A Minute Kevin Rudd

Kevin Rudd and humour is not the best pairing and it was with surprise that after Therese was released from hospital , old laugh a minute Kevin made the joke that maybe she ended up there after hearing his speech at the Pacific Island Forum.

Making fun of your wife when she is sick is sure to get the female vote and apart from that I think he needs a new gag writer.

The Australian Democrats Chase , 114 Days To Go

Well it's Saturday and there are 114 days to go to get the magic 1000 member figure.

Maybe they should have been trying to sign up members on the steps of parliament house today at the demonstration against the BHP desalination plant. 

All I saw were Greens everywhere.

By the way the tv series which ran from 1970 - 1975 for 114 episodes.

Australian Democrats Countdown Day 10

Well it's at the 115 day mark and according to a comment posted relaying information that it's not looking good with only 32 new members.

So that would leave 968 to go.

That is only 8.4 members a day to sign.

That is if they sign people on weekends.

By the way 115 is also the number of episodes of the television series " The Wonder Years "

Yes 116 days to go.... to get the magical figure of a 1000 new members that will keep David Winterlich as the sole Democrat politician.

116 is also the fire emergency number in Peru.

The Australian Democrats Membership Drive Day 8

The saga continues .

There are no official figures being released but it is supposed to be going well.

But with 117 days to go and the magical 1000 new members to be reached who knows .

By the way 117 is the number of Brady Bunch episodes which ran from 1969 - 1974
